Modern businesses are becoming more and more reliant on their systems to perform to maximum efficiency. Pegasus Instant Messenger (PIM) optimises the effectiveness of business communications. It is an Instant Messaging communication framework offering the ability to distribute critical information automatically in the form of a discreet pop-up instant message, on the recipient’s desktop.

Defined by the user and relevant to their business needs, PIM instant messages can have many business-critical uses, such as escalating overdue invoices to the Credit Control Manager, monitoring stock levels dynamically to enable more efficient stock control, or warning the Financial Director when the companies overdraft limit is being approached.

PIM is based on real-time data within Opera II; the Opera II data can be scrutinised up to every minute to ensure that business rules or criteria are being met or broken. Once met or broken the Instant Message is sent to the recipient.

The functionality can also be enhanced to generate emails as well as instant messages and also incorporates an ‘Advanced Wizard’ for more complicated business alerts.
